Room
Full of People
Inspired
by corporate impersonality
Well I'm sitting
here lonely surrounded by humanity
Don't even really know about if this is where I want to be
Got to keep the fire burning even though it's havin' trouble stayin'
hot
Got to keep the bread a coming so I don't go home sleeping on
a cot
Well it's small
and green and neoprene with all the things I need to keep me right
Some tape and a phone won't you throw me a bone you know it doesn't
even have a light
Want to talk to my neighbor but he doesn't waver from all the
work he does so very hard
I need some relief from this 'sea of the geeks' I'd rather be
at home out in my yard
It's a room full
of people
But no one's really there
Yeah a room full of people
They made me cut my hair
A room full of people
Doing what they do
A room full of people
Who are you?
Well they talk a
whole lot about the way they do their thing so very well
But what they don't know is that I'd rather write and try to make
it gel
I'm working on fitting in the new world that I have to say is
mine
The thing is that I'm fitting in but really what it is to be confined
Well it's time to
go home now yeah I'm looking for the person that is me
Escape from the cube you know it really makes me want to go and
flee
I've got to leave this place and then become the person who I
am
Cause all the stuff they're doing here I don't really give a damn
It's a room full
of people
But no one's really there
Yeah a room full of people
They made me cut my hair
A room full of people
Doing what they do
A room full of people
Who are you?
