Here we have what ultimately turned into my rock-a-billy kit. I've been playing with The Scott Wells Band and we tend to do a lot of old rock 'n' roll, rock-a-billy, and swing influenced rock. I was able to use my second 14"x22" bass drum with a single tom mount, using an 8"x12" tom and the cymbal mount right on the drum where I have a 20" Zildjian Ride. I only use one crash, a 15" Zildjian Thin Crash. Playing on a small kit is a blast and I feel that you should be able to sound great on whatever gear you're playing on. And last but not least, it's really easy to transport!
